La rue des Femmes launches the #WomenFeelSafe movement

While we’re all living through the COVID-19 crisis, I can’t help but think of women who are homeless. La rue des Femmes is there so that thousands of homeless women, survivors of violence, have a chance to heal and get off the streets.

Please join me and be part of the #WomenFeelSafe movement. Spread the sign of the heart and donate whatever you can to: laruedesfemmes.org.

On behalf of all the women who are currently unsafe, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Catherine-Proulx-Lemay, spokesperson, La rue des Femmes

Like our spokesperson, Catherine Proulx-Lemay, join the #WomenFeelSafe movement and support our mission so that thousands of homeless women, survivors of violence, have a chance to heal and get off the streets, where they are not safe!

To show your commitment:

  • Post a photo or video of yourself to Facebook and/or Instagram. Just like Catherine Proulx-Lemay, make the “Loving Home” sign with your hands to show your support for the most vulnerable women and identify @laruedesfemmes with the hashtags #LaruedesFemmes and #WomenFeelSafe.
  • Invite your family and friends to follow the movement, spread the “Loving Home” sign and donate whatever you can to laruedesfemmes.org

Women who are homeless, or in danger of becoming so, are even more vulnerable in these very difficult times. They need our help!

Since the beginning of the crisis, La rue des Femmes, as an essential service, has been providing accommodation, distributing meals to the doors of women who can no longer benefit from the services of the day centre, and helping to ensure the safety of all women.

Our mission to help the most vulnerable women is all the more crucial in light of the devastating effects of this health crisis.

Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of women who are homeless or at risk of becoming so!
