International Women’s Rights Day, March 8, will be celebrated in a festive and unifying way at La rue des Femmes, notably through a live art activity, led by Marion and Amélie, LrdF interns. This will be a moment to create a space for sharing between the workers, the interns and women in a state of homelessness, to imagine the world of tomorrow. A world that will be egalitarian, safe, inclusive, supportive and relational.

On this special day, several local businesses have decided to support La rue des Femmes with various initiatives. You can join this solidarity movement by creating your own initiative on our A Spark from the Heart platform!

Boutique 1861 : Boutique 1861 has chosen to raise awareness for women in a state of homelessness and to give boxes of essential products to the women that comes to La rue des Femmes. A gift that is sure to please!

Atelier Animation : For its 10th anniversary and for International Women’s Rights Day, the Atelier Animation has decided to get involved through different actions. Throughout the month of March, the team will hold a fundraiser on our A Spark from the Heart platform and will also collect clothing and essential goods for women in a state of homelessness. When celebration rhymes with solidarity!

Casino : For the 16th consecutive year, the Syndicat de la Condition féminine du Casino de Montréal is organizing a donation drive for International Women’s Rights Day on our A Spark from the Heart platform.

Marie-Claire : To celebrate International Women’s Rights Day, the Marie-Claire Group will support the essential mission of La rue des Femmes by donating $7,500 worth of clothing to our participants!

LXRandCo : LXRandCo, which offers handbags and other fashion accessories, has decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from March 1st to the 9th. A nice touch.
